Mental Health Special
Hey there! Long time no see, right? Sorry for 4 months of inactivity. I was kind off caught up with projects, exams and submission. Anyways, now that I am back, I just thought of covering up one of the most crucial topics in our life, Mental Health. Yes I know, you have read thousands of articles, millions of post and seen a lot of reels on it, BECAUSE IT IS THAT IMPORTANT.
Did you know that your mental health is actually more important than your physical health? Yes even our physical health is necessary but mental fitness is CRUCIAL. The reason is that as long your mind is in a negative place, your body is going to have negative effects. You might yourself have observed, whenever you feel mentally drained, you are physically weak, because that is the strength of your brain on your entire body and thus, you have to pay a lot of attention to your mental health as much as you give importance to that undone project or work.
I once heard it from somewhere that a lady was at stage 3 of cancer which is considered almost equal to not surviving but she always had this positive affirmation that she would successfully come out of that operation theatre with a new strength to live life and SHE DID. I have myself observed this, whatever you think of indirectly affects your life.
If you feel stressed talk it out, maybe even to a THERAPIST. Therapy is no sin and each one of us have to understand that, it is not that the person is crazy, it just means that the person wants to talk to someone that they are not comfortable sharing to their close peers. It just makes one feel light. So, if your kid walks up to you and asks for therapy sessions don't say, "Yeh kya naya natak hai, phone dekh kar tumhara dimaag kharab ho chuka hai.".... PLEASE DON'T SAY THIS. No one is directly asking you to directly say yes but talk to them, ask them what happened, what is triggering them, in case they feel comfortable sharing it with you, great! But if they still insist on therapy, just agree to that because the future of that child would be much happier. If you need that therapy too, just go, no one is superhero to fight all battles.
Yes I am no doctor to provide you these tips but such topics are necessary. Depression, stress, anxiety etc are common these days because of several reasons like studies, extra work, no proper sleep schedule, beauty standards everything. If you are suffering from any of them don't consider yourself weak, your body is indicating you to stop. If someone you know feels drained due to any reason just tell them that you are there, give them a hug, maybe just a second but they will feel that they are important. No matter what relation you have with that fellow human, boss-employee, student-teacher, parent-child or just friends. TALK!!!
So take a step talk to someone, family, friends or therapist but don't let that negative feeling grow inside you. Mental Fitness is important so, take steps to pamper and take care of it.
