Innocence of Little Minds

I have a lot of questions, so think and answer every single one of it, to yourself. How long has it been since you got back with those friends that you had when you were little kids? How long has it been since you have faced your fear with utmost strength? How long has it been since you got excited for your birthday? How long has it been that you were excited to try out something new? And how long has it been since you let that child inside your heart get out of the cage of maturity? I'll answer on behalf of each one you, the day you stopped living.
As a child, each one of us knew how to live. From our own birthday to that uncle who once gave you a chocolate, we were equally excited for celebrations. We feared everything but the trust in a superior power and our parents kept us going. Whenever we failed we cried, but instantly got up when our grandpa bought us that piece of chocolate. We had exams but took it up as a fun game of "catching the partner", although the partner was our marks. We definitely were worried as kids but not about deadlines, meetings or exams but about "What sabzi (vegetable) is made at home?".  That is how simple life was.

Yes as we grow, we have responsibilities but even as kids we had homework (it was a HUGE responsibility for a kid) , kidding! I know, you all would be like "how can you compare homework to entrance exams or important meeting deadline?". Well, as we grow the difficulty of tasks increases just like a level of Candy Crush, but the difference is that we face the other and the levels of life, it seems like an EXTREMELY HARD 'JOB'. It is not because it has no solution or it is extremely hard to get to the answer, it is because we have no excitement. If you treat it like a mere game of hide n seek, you would probably find the answers.

The kid inside us, is the actual motivation. The smallest of things made us happy, but as we grow, we have BIG DREAMS and HUGE PLANS of getaway, amidst which the happiness of little things just fades away. One of the major reasons of stress is that we don't take a dose of joy everyday. I do not say that never take trips, but I am rather implying on the fact that find joy in those little deeds too. We all wish to go to a beautiful location for a vacation but we never understand that maybe "if I just go home and do an activity that I like, it can also calm me down". Just small things, like opening a packet of popcorn and watching your favorite show or relaxing on the sofa and reading the book or just calling/talking to our close ones.

Just try those sweet little activities that you did as a kid, maybe you will relax. Look at difficult problems like a game of snakes n ladders. Enjoy everyday like it is your birthday. Life will get better because if those demanding toddlers were happy with it, an understanding adult you, can definitely enjoy it. Don't lock that kiddo in you, bring it out and shut that grumpy person in you. Let your child side look at tasks and the mature one can solve them with ease. The child in you is precious!
