 "You write your own own story"

Well, this phrase is something we have all heard. In a year, if hundred movies are released at least one of them have used this phrase, millions of TEDx Talks have this particular statement used in it. Whenever, we get demotivated we are often inspired by this statement, it has the same meaning but is conveyed using a different choice of words. After all, it is such an important thing to remember.... But we cannot decide what is going to come ahead...Can we? Well, obviously not.

We cannot predict what is going to come ahead but, we have the freedom to choose what can come next. We all have a choice, if you get an option between a luxurious life: with no happiness and a life, short of supplies but a lot of happiness... what will you choose? It depends on what you prioritize more, happiness or wealth. It is about your perspective in a situation.

Whenever we do something, we first think about all the negative things. We talk as if all negativity is going to come upon us. While we watch a movie there are two possible endings, one is where everyone lives happily ever after (the cliché magical thinking) and two, that everyone dies (possibly the worst that could happen). Now it further depends on the scriptwriter and the director, on how to end his movie with a smile or with a feeling of depression. If the writer only thinks of being negative then he/she will give a sad ending and if they want to see happy people around, they will give a happy ending.

It is said in psychology that what you think, is what your body perceives. So, if you think of something good, there is a chance that something similar might happen. Well, it won't be that bad as it is supposed to be. Basically, the bottom line is that we all get an opportunity to choose what we want, it is our next step, our choice and this is how things will happen.

So before I end this, I have a small activity. I am going to put a tiny story outline, in the comment section, just give it an ending with just two lines.

 There was a woman who had cancer, it was the third stage so everyone thought that there is barely any chance for her to survive. On the day of her operation she had only one wish that was to meet her son, who was on the way to meet his mother, but was late due to a problem. After the surgery........

    Some stories are never ending. They just grow with more love and sharing. A good remains a good for life and so are persons.

    After the surgery, the son was allowed to see his mother in the ICU who was lying unconscious but he could talk to the doctor only after his mother regained consciousness. The son walked in near his mother, held her hand, remembered her words "Every cloud has a SILVER lining, it is how intently you believe in the lining, that makes all the difference", and he saw a small smile on his mother's face and that was the lining for him, for which he was waiting...

  Now, you all must be wondering why I wished "Happy Dads' Day" instead of "Happy Father's Day", well the reason is the quote above, "Any Man can be a father but it takes a special man to be a DAD". We all appreciate our mothers for the amazing things they do but the most under-appreciated member of our household is probably, our dad. The other day, a friend sent me a reel in which the person said, " The world has become such a place that, one can say, I wanna be a lawyer, a doctor, an architect, but not 'I want to be a great mother' when of all the jobs it is one of the toughest. " This statement has become known as a feminist statement. A person not wanting to be a mother and have a family is, a feminist, while the true reason to have the whole movement was that, every woman irrespective of what she chooses to be in life, should be recognized as an equal member of the society. It is about giving the same opportunity and recognition. Amidst all that, somehow it has become about being aggressively competitive with men, trying to fight all, being greater than men, and  not being able to say that I want to be the best mother.
